96 UK MPs Urge Starmer to Sanction Israel Over Gaza War Crimes

A group of 96 Members of the UK Parliament has issued a joint letter to Prime Minister Keir Starmer, calling for immediate sanctions on Israel over what they described as “war crimes” committed against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), the MPs demanded the suspension of the UK-Israel trade agreement and a total ban on any trade with illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The MPs warned that the scale of destruction in Gaza poses “a serious risk of genocide,” and stressed that continuing trade and military cooperation with Israel without reassessment amounts to “silent complicity” in the ongoing violations of international law.
The letter adds to mounting pressure on the new UK government to take a firmer stance on Israel’s actions in Gaza, amid growing calls from human rights organizations and legal experts for accountability.
